Lucy Huestis

Clarinet

Lucy Huestis has played clarinet with SASO since the mid-1980s. She recently retired from a 41-year career as a music educator in Tucson Unified School District, teaching band, orchestra, mariachi, guitar, piano, native flute, and general music. She has also played with Arizona Symphonic Winds, local musical theater companies, Tucson Pops, and SASO’s opera festivals in Oaxaca. In 2019, she was elected to the Tucson High Badger Foundation Hall of Fame. Lucy and her husband Richard are proud parents of Thomas and James.
